Short description of your band and your music? LANKS is my solo electronic project, an exploration of folk storytelling coupled with my love of electronic sounds and featuring the many instruments I play. My debut EP features mostly a series of tragedies inspired by anime films and Tarantino, and was completely self-produced.

What are you hoping to achieve from showcasing at BIGSOUND? BIGSOUND is all about catching other great acts, meeting lots of people, in particular we are looking at meeting festival organisers. LANKS is such a young project, only starting at the start of 2014, so this is our first foray into that area, after releasing an EP and currently a new single also.

Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at BIGSOUND?  If you want your fix of melodic, folky music with banging beats then head down. I also play flute in the set which it's fairly safe to assume won't be happening anywhere else at the festival.
