"We didn’t want to let this significant moment pass without acknowledging it so we did something special and tangible."

Sydney outfit We Lost The Sea have had to postpone their upcoming international dates to the COVID pandemic, but they’re still keeping busy, today unveiling a special release for next month.

The post-rock favourites are marking the fifth anniversary of their breakthrough album, Departure Songs, with a special 2LP edition of the record.

The re-release will feature new artwork that “highlights the extensive touring that the record launched them on around the world, sharing the experience and stories of the record with people who connected with their music”.

Departure Songs was the first album the band released after the passing of vocalist Chris Torpy in 2013 and one of its singles, A Gallant Gentleman, was featured in Rick Gervais Netflix series Afterlife last year.
