WA’s Giant Fire-Breathing Spider Festival Rolls Out Complete Line-up

If you’re an arachnophobe, perhaps attending a festival which puts DJs at the helm of a giant 50 tonne fire-breathing robotic spider may not be for you.

But if you’re into late '90s–'00s drum'n'bass, jungle, and body rolling EDM, then the latest Arcadia Australia setlist may change your priorities. 

Arcadia’s three-day event, and its award-winning mechanical spider, have announced Shy FX and his rolling riddims will help Leftfield open the Perth festival for a Friday throwback.

The 25 – 27 November event has revealed it will also feature the electronic trappings of Loston, the ‘terrorhythms’ of Zeke Beat and the EDM mashups of Mashd N Kutcher – plus loads more.

They will feature alongside rave princess Alison Wonderland, trap rulers Carmada and electro-pop Elk Road artists with suspended acrobats and fire.

The mechanised creature will also “include” three of Pilerats ‘ones to watch’ – plus Black & Blunt, Luude, Kovaxx and Michael DB.

Arcadia Australia’s run-down will also include a Landing Show, Lords of Lightning Show and an Indigenous Australian performance.

Made from repurposed military equipment stuffed with the soon-to-be talents of electronic producers, this Godzilla-sized creep will soon crawl its way to Perth and your sonic soundscapes.
