Vampire Weekend Bassist Baio Announces Debut Solo Album

It's no surprise that the members of Grammy-winning Vampire Weekend are talented in their own rights, too — Baio, the New York band's bassist, has announced his first debut full-length, The Names, to be released this September.

Produced by Baio himself, the rocker explains that the record has "reverberated through my mind for much of the last five years" and explores themes of space, belonging and identity. 

Due to be released on 18 September through Liberator Music/Glassnote Records, Baio has also coupled the album announcement with the release of a new song, Brainwash Yyrr Face, which you can check out below.
