The album will coincide with the release of his autobiography

Welsh pop icon Tom Jones has announced he'll be releasing the third in his trilogy of albums — preceded by 2010's Praise & Blame and 2012's Spirit In The Room — titled Long Lost Suitcase.

The album will coincide with the impending release of Jones' autobiography, Over The Top And Back, with songs from the album integrated into the narrative and chapters of the book.

Jones will have his way with 13 hand-picked songs from artists such as young indie folk duo The Milk Carton Kids — whose song Honey Honey Jones will bring his own flavour to — as well as tracks like Rolling Stones' Factory Girl and Los Lobos' Everybody Loves A Train.

Jones' Long Lost Suitcase is due out on 9 October via Caroline, with the autobiography due out 8 October.
