Who will take out this week's ARIA Albums Chart #1?

More The Killers More The Killers

It's a race for the #1 this week on the ARIA Albums Chart this week with two big names in contention for the title.

According to mid-week figures, US rock group The Killers are currently gunning for their third Australian #1 album in a row with their latest offering Pressure Machine. The group have previously landed in the top spot for 2020's Imploding The Mirage and 2017's Wonderful Wonderful, as well as for their 2004 debut album, Hot Fuss.

It's tough competition though with 5 Seconds Of Summer's Luke Hemmings also vying for the top spot with his debut solo album, When Facing The Things We Turn Away From

The Australian group have hit #1 with all four of their albums - 2014's 5 Seconds Of Summer, 2015's Sounds Good Feels Good, 2018's Youngblood and 2020's Calm - so it's a strong possibility that Hemmings will take it out on his own as well.

Looking at the wider chart, $uicideBoy$' Long Term Effects Of Suffering is in the running for Top 20 alongside Jungle's Loving In Stereo, while local groups The Ugly Kings and their album Strange, Strange Times, and Polish Club with Now We're Cookin' are both likely for Top 50.
