More The Beach Boys More The Beach Boys

Just hours after it was announced that legendary music group The Beach Boys are heading to Australia this November for a string of arena shows, the US rock band have today been named as the headline act for the first ever Bondi Beachfest.

The Californian outfit will take to the stage at Bondi Beach on Saturday 14 November for the inaugural event alongside a number of Aussie acts, including The Whitlams, Rockhampton duo Bubsy Marou, folk singer Kim Churchill and up-and-coming Brisbane act, Sahara Beck.

One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to Surf Live Saving who are the official beneficiary of the event and the spectacle will also hold a parade from the Bondi Life Savers which includes a march past, beach flag event and board races.

There will also be a Miss Beachfest competition, surfing and skating exhibitions, as well as food and market stalls.
