Amidst the news of a return to its spiritual home at Bondi Pavilion, local boutique festival Vibes On A Summer’s Day has just announced the addition of its Curator Series to an already jam-packed line-up.

The series will provide a platform for Australia’s top music stylists, labels and producers to come together and showcase the next generation of sounds and performers, kicked off on 24 January.

Sydney-based record label Sweat It Out will bring exciting acts Yolanda Be Cool and Juan Du Sol of RUFUS, along with a host of other rising stars. Katalyst Sound System is set to showcase artists that founder Ashley Anderson has worked with and admired over the past few years. His crew will feature Leeroy BrownNatalie SladeMister Clean and the much anticipated Inner West Reggae Disco Machine. Rounding out the series is Funkdafied who will be doing a special showcase on the balcony at Vibes. His cast will include JCEddie MacDJ Hudge plus many more.

In its prime, Vibes brought a unique tone to the Sydney music festival scene, but ceased operation over a decade ago due to the ramifications of its relocation to the city.

Promoter Joe Conneely insists that the festival will return to its former glory: "Since its inception in 1994, Vibes has always had an ear for showcasing what’s new and what’s next and 2016 will be no exception."
