Singer-songwriter Steve Smyth will resume life on the road tomorrow, having recovered from a recent alleged assault that left his jaw broken.

The Sydney-based muso postponed a portion of his extensive national tour to take time out to recover from the injury, but the run will kick back off tomorrow at Hobart's Brisbane Hotel.

Smyth thanked all his fans and well wishes as he announed his return to the live circuit, saying he has been "surrounded by incredible love and a strong heart of support" during this difficult time.

The shows will continue throughout the end of this month and next, with extra dates to be confirmed sometime soon.
