We already knew Splendour In The Grass would be returning for 2024 – tickets for it have already been sold, after all – but now we know exactly when we’ll making the pilgrimage out to the idyllic North Byron Parklands on Ngarindjin country.

As announced by Secret Sounds today (January 23), Splendour will return to its spiritual Byron home for another three-day stint over the weekend of Friday July 19, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21, with onsite camping available from Wednesday 17.

There’s no word yet on who will perform at Splendour 2024, but as expected, the rumour mill is up and running like never before. We’ll steer clear of commenting for now (lest some of the batshit wild whispers we’ve heard wind up ringing true), but after last year’s lineup – which featured Mumford & Sons, Lizzo and Flume as headliners, plus exclusive sets from the likes of 100 Gecs – we’re expecting some huge names to make the cut.

Also yet to be revealed is when tickets will go on sale (either through presales or the general public sale). We’ll keep you updated on all of that info as it comes, but for the time being, Secret Sounds have set up a presale notice form for those of us who have attended Splendour five times or more in the past – sign up here before 5pm next Tuesday (January 30) and you’ll be guaranteed a spot to buy tickets (for you and your crew) in the 2024 Splendour Member presale.

After a rather messy (and muddy) bout in 2022, last year’s Splendour was an incredible celebration of music, mates and memory-making. Reviewing it for The Music, Emma Newbury wrote that the jaunt “re-solidified why we make this festival one on the bucket list”.

So now the biggest question is: who do you want to see on the lineup for Splendour in The Grass 2024? Could we see the return of Lewis Capaldi after his Aussie-exclusive spot at Splendour ’23 was cancelled? What about No Doubt, given they just announced their reunion for this year’s Coachella?
