Rolf Harris is set to be retried on four indecent assault charges after he was last week cleared on two counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault.

As suspected, the Crown Prosecution Service have pushed for a retrial on the four remaining offences after a verdict could not be reached last week.

According to ABC, a CPS lawyer told Southwark Crown Court that the prosecution will be moving ahead with the retrial.

"This decision was taken after consideration of all the matters set out in our legal guidance on seeking re-trials when a jury has failed to agree on a verdict," a CPS spokesperson said in a statement.

Harris, who is already serving a five-year, nine-month sentence for 12 counts of indecent assault, has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

The new trial will commence in London with a new judge and jury on 15 May.
