They play one last show this Friday.

More FAIM More FAIM

After almost 10 years in the game, Perth punks FAIM have announced they will be breaking up.

The news comes after drummer Jay Swensen announced his departure from the band via Facebook last night.

“I've felt disconnected from my friends/bandmates for a long time now, and it's led to a few personal issues of mine to hit boiling point. It breaks my heart to do this, but for me to sort my life out, I can't be in FAIM,” Swensen said.

"We love Jay, and for now this marks the end of FAIM," bassist Dominique Rae added. "We really hope to see as many of you as we can on Friday for the party of the year.” .

Forming in Albany as Sixgun in 2005, the band moved up to Perth and became The FAIM! Project before changing their name to FAIM in 2010.

They play one last show this Friday night at Flyrite to launch their new single, Means To Their Ends.
