Redcoats, who play a brand of rock that nobs towards blues, psychedelic and desert influences, will hot the road well travelled in November to celebrate the release of their debut and self-titled album.

Redcoats will be released Friday 19 October, and will include their two most recent singles Raven and Evergreen. If you don't know the band from those tracks, you'll probably remember last year's stupidly infectious freight-train of a track Dreamshaker, which landed at 76 on the Hottest 100.

To record their album, the band isolated themselves in a valley at the foot of the Grampians and then again in the bush outside Daylesford, writing through late-night jam sessions. Los Angeles' Dave Schiffman (Nine Inch Nails, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Mars Volta) flew into to Byron Bay's 301 Studio to record the record, which was then mastered by Howie Weinberg.
