Get loose with the Sydney party masters.

More Purple Sneakers DJs More Purple Sneakers DJs

They are at the tail end of a big tour of the country that has seen them play everywhere from the nation's coolest indie-dance clubs to the Gold Coast 600 car race to festivals on both sides of the country and today Purple Sneakers DJs give you a little snapshot of what life on the road with them is like as they premiere the clip for their first ever original single Last One Standing on theMusic.com.au.

These guys have been DJing and running clubs for a number of years now. This recently developed into them starting their own blog, which proved to be rather popular, and, most recently, their own record label and this single is said label's first release. Featuring the compelling vocals of Tokyo Denmark Sweden frontwoman Amy Pes, the tune is a solid slice of indie electro fare that is sure to ignite dancefloors over summer.

The clip is a debauched slice of life on the road and in clubs around the country; there's plenty of drinking, plenty of destruction and plenty of dancing - pretty much exactly what a Purple Sneakers DJs clip should be like.

Of the video, the DJs gave us the following statement:

"So we made a video for our single Last One Standing. It's as our agent calls it "a live performance piece". Sure it might not be art......but it's a snap shot of the art of partying.

"The video is kinda like a 'day in the life of Purple Sneakers DJs'... party / alcohol / irresponsible / look at us we are dickz / making ppl dance / party / jager / party / more party / that laptop is now broken / we are going to regret this in the morning / more party? / oh god no please no more / yayyyyy / shiiiiiiit / oh hAAAIII / LETS DO IT AGAIN!

"The video was shot by our Melbourne based Purple Sneakers club photographer AdamNotEve across a few weeks of following us to various places around the country as we played shows and partied with our pals (there's a bit of a who's who list, see if you can name them all).

"This is our first video and it definitely illustrates who we are and what we do... we play the music that makes you wanna sing along, shake your ass to the ground, eat drugs, hug your friend, kiss your lover and lose your shit.

For the record we are NOT sponsored by Jaegermeister. Believe us we tried!"

We recently had a chat to Martin Novosel (aka PhDJ) about the reasons for starting the label and their future plans. You can check that out here.

The duo have one more date on the current tour and it looks like it'll be a big hometown party. Details are below:
