WA favourites Methyl Ethel have today dropped a new track alongside East Coast tour dates.

Written after the band’s Hurts To Laugh EP touring plans were cancelled due to the pandemic, Neon Cheap is their first release since recently signing with Future Classic and arrives alongside a music video directed by Tay Kaka.

“Picture yourself scrolling, mind-numbingly at 3am. Now, instead of scrolling, you’re traipsing some Vegas-like strip. All the events and people you’d normally read about are there as you walk around, inoculated, casually observing. For me, this is Neon Cheap,” Methyl Ethel frontman Jake Webb said.

On the recent signing, Future Classic CEO and Founder Nathan McLay noted: "Methyl Ethel is an iconic part of the Australian music landscape. We're delighted to be working with Jake in this vital period of his art practice."

To celebrate Neon Cheap, Methyl Ethel will perform headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney in July, all the details of which you can find in theGuide alongside information on the band’s upcoming sold-out Perth dates.
