Woodford native and singer/songwriter Josh Rennie-Hynes has unveiled the first single from his upcoming sophomore album, Furthermore, along with a short run of headline shows.

The new track is called Rosie, a song Rennie-Hynes explains is dedicated to his cousin's housemate, Rosie.

"I had a few days off in Wellington, where I was staying at my cousin’s house, spending a few days with his housemate Rosie, a lovely girl who had been going through a tough time with depression. I wrote this song for her, just to say that it’s all gonna be alright, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel."

Rennie-Hynes will kick the tour van into gear this June when he brings along his band The Wildflowers for a four-date tour around the country, stopping in at Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane from June 10 to June 18.
