The first round of artists have been revealed for the National Folk Festival for 2014, with a few acclaimed international names alongside some prominent Aussies.

Here are the all important names:

Frank Yamma, Joseph Tawadros, Eleanor McEvoy, Fásta, Rose Cousins, Alaska String Band, Jordie Lane, Kate Fagan, The Australian Chinese Music Ensemble, Chris Duncan and Catherine Strutt, The Barleyshakes, Bernard Carney, David Hyams, Gina Williams with Guy Ghouse, The Mae Trio, Darcy Welsh, Davidson Brothers, Luke Plumb, Peter Daffy, Jan 'Yarn' Wositzky, The Pepperjacks, The Raglins, Cole & Van Dijk, Trouble in the Kitchen

The much-loved event will once again take place in the Exhibition Park, Canberra, across 12 venues, from Thursday 17 to Monday 21 April. Early bird tickets are available now through the official website.
