The Aussie jaunt will be the band's first since 2011

More Howling Bells More Howling Bells

Sydney-bred, London-based, Americana-dappled boho rock expats Howling Bells have announced that they will be returning home to Australia this September for their first run of national headline shows since 2011.

The (admittedly limited) tour has been orchestrated with assistance from Live Nation and Artist Voice and is in support of their recently dropped fourth LP Heartstrings, which the band has said was written during an intensive “creative spell” in October last year before being released earlier this month.

There's a fair pedigree behind the album, too, with Catherine J. Marks (Foals' Holy Fire, PJ Harvey's White Chalk) manning the recording desk while the legendary Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, The Killers, Depeche Mode) took up production duties.

Howling Bells' homecoming tour kicks off at Perth's Amplifier on Saturday, September 6, and sees the band then head to Melbourne and Sydney for shows on September 11 and 12, respectively.
