Hot Dub Time Machine has made good on his promise to perform some free shows in the wake of this past weekend's Wine Machine festival in the Hunter Valley.

The Sydney DJ's set was called off on Saturday night due to a "freak electrical storm", while some also vented their frustration at long bar lines, lack of shelter from the rain and poor sound quality.

One person wrote on Facebook that the sold out Roche Estate festival was "the worst event I've been to by far", while another slammed the "ridiculous bar queues with hopeless staff".

Hot Dub Time Machine has confirmed new shows in Sydney and Newcastle next month saying, "We wanted to make it up to you with this small token of our appreciation".

Tickets for both dates will only be available to punters who attended the Wine Machine event in Hunter Valley.
