After winning four coveted ARIA awards earlier in the week and being honoured with a touching tribute at the ceremony, Gurrumul has entered the National Indigenous Music Chart at #7 with Djolin (Musical Instrument).

Gurrumul was the first artist in ARIA history to win Best Male Artist posthumously.

Meanwhile, Queensland duo Busby Marou hold onto #1 with Sound Of Summer for a third straight week.

Thelma Plum's Clumsy Love and Baker Boy’s Mr La Di Da Di also climb up the chart to #3 and #5 respectively while Robbie Miller makes his debut at #4 with Baby.

Now in it's third week, the country’s first-ever National Indigenous Music Chart was launched by the National Indigenous Music Awards, in partnership with Radio Monitor and SGC Group.

Upon its launch, NIMAs reference group chair Warren H Williams stated: "We hope it will become an important place to recognise the incredible achievements of our musicians and the essential place they hold in the tapestry of Australian music culture."
