More Frazey Ford More Frazey Ford

Canadian singer/songwriter Frazey Ford will join Bon Iver's Justin Vernon at Vivid LIVE's Sounds Of The South concert.

Part of this year's festival, Vernon and The Be Good Tanyas' lead singer will be joined by pysch-folkers Megafaun, and jazz collective Fight The Big Bull, lead by Matthew E. White, to reinterpret Allan Lomax's iconic field recordings Sounds Of The South – A Musical Journey From The Georgia Sea Islands To The Mississippi Delta Recorded In The Field By Alan Lomax. Released in 1961 on six LPs, the recordings – which were collected during a two year project – it is a cornerstone of folk music history.

Today theMusic.com.au can reveal that Ford has joined the two-night event, after it was announced as part of the full reveal last month.

The Vancouver-based Ford was last in Australia supporting Paul Kelly a decade ago.
