Australian industrial and electro-rock might be making a comeback; just ask 90s music heroes Def FX and Caligula, who just announced a three-date co-headline tour across the east coast of the country.

Starting the run on Saturday, 25 November, at the Gasometer Hotel in Melbourne, the two groups then head to Bad Luck in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley on Friday, 1 December, and Sydney’s Lansdowne Hotel on Saturday, 2 December.

You can expect Caligula to charge into some of their most recognised hits, including Tears of A Clown, Roundabout, So Fine and many more.

In addition to the already-exciting co-headline run, Def FX and Caligula are supporting Australian women in music by adding fellow 90s legends MOLER in Melbourne, Sabrina Lawrie & the Cosmic Shore in Brisbane, and the LauraPanic Band in Sydney. DJs will also accompany the bands on all dates, keeping the 90s music and vibes flowing throughout the nights.

It’s the first time in 27 years the two bands have toured together – tickets are on sale now, with a portion of ticket sales from the tour supporting Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, which Def FX vocalist Fiona Horne is a proud ambassador.

In terms of merchandise, the tour will include a limited-release Never Say Never t-shirt and the release of a collectible vinyl Best Of by Def FX. The 11-track album, COLLECT VOL 1, features the band’s hits, such as Surfers of the Mind, Masses Like Asses and Kill The Real Girls and will be available at all shows.

In 2016, Horne inked a book deal with Rockpool Publishing and published her autobiography, 50 Does Not Suck, a year later.

Horne said in a statement, “I'm excited to be joining forces with stellar publishers, Rockpool Publishing. Here's to a long and fun relationship!”

Today’s tour announcement follows the notice that Def FX were added to the list of final shows at Perth’s Badlands Bar, which closes its doors for good in December.

Horne commented about the band’s performance at the venue, “I was lucky to live in WA for two years, and now living overseas, I cannot wait to return to the magic of the Wild West and bring DEF FX with me.

“We will TURN IT UP AND PLAY IT LOUD and play your original faves to kick off the closing celebration week for the legendary venue that will always be BADLANDS BAR in our rockin’ hearts!”
