The tour has been confirmed to begin in April of this year.

More Broods More Broods

This week's The Music Cover Artist, BROODS have today released their fourth album, Space Island.

The eagerly anticipated album from the New Zealand duo features previously released singles Piece Of Mind, Heartbreak and Like A Woman.

Via Space Island BROODS examine introspection from anger to self-discovery, framing each emotion as a musical, psychoanalytical vignette.

Sonically it delivers on the quintessential experience of a BROODS record, with their aesthetic inspired by '60s sci-fi films, to create a new intensity into their known brand of atmospheric indie-pop.

On the record's cathartic qualities, Georgia Nott shared in our Cover Artist interview, "I really wanted to make people feel the way that I felt when I listened to important albums around that time for me. I really lean on music whenever I'm struggling.

"So I wanted to make something that would be comforting for people. That's why we built Space Island – like 'space island' is the place to go that gives you time alone and gives you resources to metabolise your grief."

Alongside the album's release, the band have revealed the postponement of their Australian tour (by a month).

The duo will perform in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne on April 26, 27 and 28 respectively.
