Boy George has fired at Madonna in his recently released autobiography, Karma, calling the singer “full of herself” and claiming she snubbed him numerous times.

One such occasion he described in his book was when he was attending the grand opening of New York City club Palladium. “Madonna arrived with Sean Penn and pretended she didn’t see me,” George wrote, per People.

The Time singer went on to recall an instance where he and his friend introduced themselves to her, to which Madonna apparently told George’s friend, who extended his hand to meet her, “Ugh, I don’t know where it’s been”.

While his friend was reportedly diplomatic (“By my side all night,” he replied), George wasn’t in the same mood: “I told him he should have poked it in her eye.”

Despite loving her music, George doesn’t hold back on his thoughts towards Madonna herself. “Madonna is everything it says on the tin, but she adds new ingredients every day,” he stated in his book. “I know for a fact she’s too full of herself to even mention me.

“She once said, ‘Boy George was mean to me in the '80s, and he’s still mean.’ To be fair, I haven’t really been given the opportunity.”

He continued – adding that he only loves “some” of the Like A Prayer singer’s albums, “Not knowing anything about her I would assume she’d have issue with the word ‘some.' ... I have a sense of humour, I don’t think Madonna does, despite some of the clothes she wears (LOL).”

Elsewhere in the book, he mentioned meeting Taylor Swift, who, according to George, didn’t know who he was. “I don’t think she had any idea who I was, which was a shame for her (LOL),” he wrote, per The Guardian.

In recent Madonna news, fans sued her after she allegedly started three of her concerts at Barclays Centre in Brooklyn over two hours late, with ticket buyers claiming legal harm as they “had to get up early to go to work”.

Boy George brought Culture Club to Australia last year with special guests Berlin.
