New Zealand indie pop sensation BENEE has dropped a phenomenally dreamy cover version of the Gotye mega-hit Somebody That I Used To Know.

Recording the tune for Amazon Music, the singer (also known as Stella Rose Bennett) says the 2011 song has been a special part of her life since it first came out.

"I resonate so strongly with the lyrics in this song,” Bennett stated.

"I wish that I had written it and was so excited by the opportunity to record it for Amazon Music."

Bennett has been making waves throughout the music world in her own right, releasing her debut in LP in 2020 and launching her own label that same year at just 20 years old. She is set to headline Festival Of The Sun later this year.
