Melbourne Writers Festival has revealed their 2019 program, all centring around the theme When We Talk About Love.

Joining this year's line-up will be Ben Folds in conversation with Charlie Pickering about his memoir A Dream About Lightning Bugs and Cold Chisel's Don Walker in conversation with Paul Kelly

Tina Arena and Deborah Cheetham come together for the Duets series, while Straightjacket Fits' Shayne Carter will chat with Peter Fenton about his memoir, Dead People I Have Known

Comics Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, Anne Edmonds, Nath Valvo, Judith Lucy and more will all make appearances throughout the festival.

This is the second announce for this year's festival, with it revealed last month that the iconic Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, Holocaust historian Deborah Lipstadt and Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson will take part in this year's festival.

"Love stirs our creative spirits, brings us to our knees, inspires songs and sonnets and paintings and volumes, and breaks us into tiny pieces and glues us back together again with gold adhesive," says artistic director Marieke Hardy.
