The long saga between controversial rapper Azealia Banks and actor Russell Crowe has come to an end, as the Los Angeles District Attorney's office will reportedly not be charging Crowe over the alleged assault of Banks in a Beverly Hills hotel room this October.

As TMZ reports, the DA found Crowe's actions in throwing Banks out of his hotel room and party "justified to prevent the imminent violence threatened by Banks", after allegations emerged that Banks acted violently and Crowe was forced to carry her out of the room. The DA also said the allegation that Crowe spat on Banks was "incidental to preventing more serious threatened violence".

The DA also spoke to witnesses who confirmed Banks used racial slurs and was verbally aggressive to others at the party.

It was initially reported that Banks told Crowe, "You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino shit".

Banks later filed a battery report against Crowe after alleging he "called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me".

The rapper has responded to the DA's finding in a Facebook post, stating she's "seriously heartbroken over this news".

"I paid a lawyer to defend me who went ghost two weeks ago, and now a DA is saying that he was justified in spitting on me. (?)" she wrote.

Edit: Azealia Banks has since deleted her Facebook post.
