Angelique Kidjo, John Butler Trio & More Announced For WOMADelaide 2019

Another huge year of WOMADelaide.

WOMADelaide is returning is 2019 and today they've shared their huge first line-up announce, complete with 19 acts from 14 countries. 

Next year's festival will be lead by Angelique Kidjo. The three-time Grammy Award winner will be sharing her reimagining of Talking Heads' classic Remain In Light with Australian audiences for the first time. 

Local acts include John Butler Trio, Julia Jacklin, Tkay Maidza and the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir


They'll be joined by acts including BCUC (Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness), Khruangbin, Taiwu Ancient Ballads Troupe, Silkroad Ensemble, Amjad Ali Khan, La Dame Blanche, Maria Pages, Artonik, Dona Onete, Baloji, Jamie Smith's MABON, Las Cafeteras, Sharon Shannon Band and TEEKS.

This is just the first line-up announce for the festival, with more acts expected to be announced in November.
