Indie-pop favourites Alpine, live experts Art Vs. Science, 2012 triple j Unearthed High winner Asta, and 20 year-old Sydney beat wrangler Kilter will be hitting the boards for 2015's Valley Fiesta, which released the first line-up details today.

Leading a strong Brisbane line-up this year is DJ/producer Young Franco, The CairosGill BatesFekiThe JensensTorfasonBaskervillain and The Missing taking the stage alongside a special QMA showcase with HalfwayWAAXMichelle XenElectrik Lemonade and Leanne Tennant.

In its 19th year, the Valley Fiesta which will take place from Friday Oct 23 to Sunday Oct 25 will feature more than 60 acts, as well as food, cultural and artistic expositions spreading into Fortitude Valley's malls, laneways and streets.

Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said the festival would be showcasing the best of the precinct's unique culture as it has done since 1997.

“Council is proud to present this event which will boost the local economy with businesses participating in the celebrations with special offers for punters and hosting events at venues throughout the weekend," Cr Quirk said in a statement.

“I’d encourage anyone who’s in Brisbane from 23–25 October to get down to Fortitude Valley and check out our city’s biggest and most loved street party.”

Valley Fiesta's organiser Murray Sutherland of Kinetic Events said the festival would be showcasing Fortitude Valley’s thriving cultural scene. 

“The massive three-day program will include pop-up bars, the Fiesta Feast in Chinatown showcasing some of the Valley’s top restaurants, special laneway events, the infamous Valley Markets, street theatre, interactive public art and photography exhibitions and a whole lot more," Mr Sutherland said.

“By broadening the scope of the event, the Fiesta will celebrate the Valley’s art and culinary offering, as well the music scene it is renowned for.”
