The US singer has responded on Twitter.
The album has been out for less than 24 hours, but Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon has already distanced himself from his cameo on a track listed on Eminem's Kamikaze.
The US singer-songwriter features in Fall, in which Eminem takes shots at a number of other rappers including Tyler, The Creator, Joe Budden and Lord Jamar.
Taking to Twitter, Vernon said he is "not a fan" of the song's message and that he even tried to change the track.
"Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time, there is no doubt. I have and will respect that," Vernon tweeted.

"Tho, this is not the time to criticize Youth, it’s the time to listen. To act. It is certainly not the time for slurs. Wish they would have listened when we asked them to change it."

Was not in the studio for the Eminem track... came from a session with BJ Burton and Mike Will. Not a fan of the message, it’s tired. Asked them to change the track, wouldn’t do it. Thanks for listening to BRM https://t.co/E0wmt732ty
