"It reminded us of recording our first EP."

Sometimes all you need for a great music video is a good idea, something Aussie folk pop maestros The Killjoys prove with their new single So It’s Goodbye and its accompanying clip.

The new video was filmed on a GoPro around Melbourne, and following the adventures of a freckly ginger ventriloquist dummy Lonely Blue Boy.

“We had a ball doing the DIY, it reminded us of recording our first EP in our rehearsal studio and we realised it was 30 years ago to the month,” Craig Pilkington said.

“The process has been a sweet journey back through recordings, videos and photos that awakens memories of places, gigs and most importantly, people.

The Killjoys will launch the new single in Melbourne at The Spotted Mallard on October 19 with support from Rob Snarski before releasing a double album anthology next year.

So It’s Goodbye is officially out September 7.
