The City That Unearthed Silverchair Is Hosting A Special Showcase At BIGSOUND 2018

As well as the return of the popular Singapore showcase, BIGSOUND 2018 is also set to host a very special Newcastle showcase party come September. 

With a rich history that has produced the likes of Silverchair and The Screaming Jets, Newcastle's music talent will get an opportunity to shine at this year's conference in front of fellow artists, managers and booking agents. 

As well as showcasing music, the event will also provide information and tips on how and why acts should tour Newcastle. 

Bands and artists from the NSW harbour city are encouraged to apply for the showcase; check out the official Facebook page for more details.

Newcastle artists already confirmed on this year's bill include Eat Your Heart Out and Rachel Maria Cox, who are joined on the line-up by names like Cable Ties, yú yī, A Swayze & The Ghosts, The Chats, Eliott, Asha Jefferies, Slowly Slowly and Eilish Gilligan.
