Following a hugely-successful NYE concert, Ian "Molly" Meldrum says there is a "possibility" Countdown will be coming back to Australian TV screens soon.
Appearing on Studio 10 this week, the beloved music industry icon said the TV show could be revived on the ABC; the same network that aired the NYE tribute.
"There is a possibility there will be a new Countdown. All young performers, all young presenters," Meldrum said.
"It'll hopefully be in the same timeslot, 6-7 on the Sunday night, repeated on the Saturday.

The NYE Countdown Live concert was a ratings hit for ABC and featured performances from artists such as Jimmy Barnes, Phil Jamieson, Stella Donelly, Casey Donovan and Marcia Hines.
