The owners have issued a statement.
The owners of renowned Adelaide live music venue The Gov have issued an apology to Perth band BOAT SHOW after it was revealed a sound technician made a sexist comment to one of its female band members.
Sydney's Dear Seattle, who were performing at the venue on Friday alongside BOAT SHOW in support of Hockey Dad's headline show, slammed the technician in a Facebook post the next day.
"This is a public statement to say a MASSIVE FUCK YOU to the sound guy in Adelaide who thought it would be okay to say 'How's the glass ceiling going for you?' to a female member of one of the supports tonight, leaving her in tears upon being told what it meant," the statement reads.
The statement, which BOAT SHOW also shared on their Facebook, led to The Gov owners, Melissa and Jo Tonkin, issuing an apology.
