Jimmy Barnes, Bernard Fanning & More Slam Cory Bernardi's Hottest 100 Protest Playlist

Musicians included in Senator Cory Bernardi’s controversial Hottest 100 protest playlist have come out swinging today, explaining to Cozza that they would very much like to be excluded from his narrative.

Bernardi and his Australia Conservative party dropped the Spotify playlist yesterday as an “alternative to Triple J’s hottest 100 after they abandoned Australia Day".

After ex-Savage Gardener Darren Hayes led the backlash against their inclusion on the playlist a number of other musicians including Hilltop Hoods and Bernard Fanning have come out with statements of their own.

Even streaming service Spotify isn't having a bar of Cory's antics releasing the following statement to media this afternoon.

We want to make clear we do not endorse this playlist, nor do we have any official ties to the Australian Conservatives party nor any other political party."
