While Ed Sheeran, unsurprisingly, took out the #1 spot on the ARIA Album chart with '÷ (Divide)', he also had a pretty firm grasp on the ARIA Top 100 Singles Chart for 2017 with four songs in the top 10. Sadly though, there are only four Aussie acts who have placed within the top 50 on the end-of-year ranking.

While Ed Sheeran, unsurprisingly, took out the #1 spot on the end-of-year ARIA Album chart with ÷ (Divide), he also had a pretty firm grasp on the ARIA Top 100 Singles Chart for 2017 with four songs in the top 10.

Sadly though, there are only four Aussie acts who have placed within the top 50 on the end-of-year ranking.

PNAU's dance mega-hit Chameleon takes the gold for the Aussies, coming in at #32, while Dean Lewis' Waves is at #34.

Starley's Call On Me (Ryan Riback Remix) comes in at #37, while Amy Shark's Adore (which won Best Pop Release at this year's ARIA Awards) comes in at #40.

Rounding out the Top 100 are Peking Duk's Stranger at #78, Bliss N Eso's Moments (ft. Gavin James) at #81, Jessica Mauboy's Fallin' at #83, Vance Joy's Lay It On Me at #90, Troye Sivan & Martin Garrix's There For You at #92 and Flume's Never Be Like You (ft. Kai) at #97.

This is a huge downturn from last year's results which saw Flume's Never Be Like You at #4, Sia's Cheap Thrills at #8, Hilltop Hoods' 1955 (ft. Montaigne & Tom Thum) at #18, Flume's Say It at #20, Illy's Papercut (ft. Vera Blue) and Sia's The Greatest at #46, while The Veronica's, Keith Urban, Troye Sivan and Peking Duk all placed within the Top 100.

The last time an Aussie took out the #1 spot on the end-of-year chart was back in 2005, with the release of The Prayer by Anthony Callea.
