Falls organisers issue statement.

A third sexual assault has been reported at Falls Festival in Marion Bay against a 32-year-old Carlton man.

As ABC reports, the punter was charged by police after he allegedly groped a woman's breast in the mosh pit on Sunday night and was apprehended by the alleged victim and her friend in a citizen's arrest.

"The women involved, the person involved and her friend, actually apprehended the male, then handed them to security, who then handed them to police for the matter to be investigated," Senior Sergeant Darren Latham said.

The charge follows two reports of sexual assault at the Marion Bay event this past weekend, including a 19-year-old woman who was also allegedly assaulted in the mosh pit and another woman who claimed she was attacked in the camping area (the complaint has since been withdrawn).

Falls Festival co-producer, Paul Piticco, said in a statement, "These incidences have been happening at mass gatherings for years and we are encouraged by the fact that this unacceptable behaviour is being identified and people are coming forward.

"It takes a lot of courage and we are happy to be seeing a cultural change where victims feel comfortable to report."
