After 13 great years.

Announcing the news this morning while on air, Rowe confirmed she will be leaving her post as triple j Mornings host to take on a brand new role with Double J where she'll be heard on the airwaves during weekdays from 9am-12pm.

Rowe leaves triple j after 13 years and 10 years as its Mornings host.

"13 years ago, I found my dream job at triple j and for the past 10 years I've been privileged to be the custodian of the triple j Mornings show," Rowe said in a statement.

"Triple J is an incredible, national community and the bond that lives between our audience and presenters is a rare gift.

"I'm so honoured to have been given the chance to discover and share my favourite music with you guys. As I close the door on this chapter, I open the next, and wander down the hallway to our sister station to kick off a brand new Mornings show.

"It's time for a new dream job and I can't wait to discover and share the best new music with you on Double J."

Over the next two weeks, Rowe will relive highlights and favourite memories during her time on the show.

Triple J is expected to confirm Rowe's replacement in its 2018 programs announcement on Wednesday.
