Gang Of Youths, AB Original, Amy Shark & More Clean Up At The 2017 ARIAs

Australian music’s night of nights has once again seen a slew of local legends and international acts pick up accolades, with Aussie stars Gang Of Youths, AB Original, Paul Kelly and Amy Shark winning big at tonight’s ARIA Awards.
With their ARIA #1 album Go Farther In Lightness setting them up for a massive year, Sydney rockers Gang Of Youths walked away from the ceremony in Sydney, with Album Of The Year, Best Group and Best Rock Album, rendering an epic four awards when added to their Producer Of The Year score earlier in the year.
Unstoppable hip hop duo AB Original added two more awards to their ever-expanding shelf of praise with Best Independent Release and Best Urban Release for their powerful debut album Reclaim Australia, and they also joined Kelly onstage for Dumb Things.
Kelly’s latest release, Life Is Fine - which landed Best Cover Art and Engineer Of The Year last month – saw him take out Best Male Artist and Best Adult Contemporary Album, while newcomer Amy Shark took home Best Pop Release and Breakthrough Artist following the release of Night Thinker.

Other performances were delivered from Best International Artist winner Harry Styles and Lorde, as well as ARIA Hall Of Fame inductee Daryl Braithwaite, who was joined onstage by Vera Blue and Guy Sebestian for The Horses, and Jimmy Barnes paid tribute to AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young and producer George Young with a rendition of High Voltage.
