More Acts Pull Out Of Earthcore; Questions Raised About Sydney Event

After headliner pulled out this week.

More acts have pulled out of the upcoming Earthcore festival, just days after headliners Coming Soon cancelled their appearance, claiming they have not been paid for the shows.

Denmark DJ Joel Rowdy announced on Facebook this week that he, as well as Phaxe, Metronome and Martin Vice/MVMB, have cancelled as "the organizer did not fulfill the terms of our agreement".

Meanwhile, fellow international acts such as Nick Curly, Coyu, Day.Din, Teenage Mutants and Outsiders have also confirmed separately that they will not be attending Earthcore, claiming flights or playing fees had not been paid for by organisers.

While the Melbourne event is scheduled to kick off today, there has been speculation that the Sydney leg will be axed altogether.

Though this is yet to be confirmed or denied, Brazil DJ ANNA confirmed on Facebook that she will perform in Melbourne but not in Sydney, "due to reasons beyond my control".

Adding to this, tickets for the Sydney event have been suspended, but can still be purchased for Victoria, Queensland and WA.

Venue site for the Sydney Earthcore event, Scheyville National Park, declined to comment when contacted by The Music, and instead directed us back to the Earthcore website.

Speaking exclusively to The Music today, Coming Soon claim even more acts will drop off the line-up.

"After all that has happened we doubt this festival will happen," the Tel Aviv duo said.

The Music has reached out to Earthcore for comment.
