You know what we are going to say... Bigmouth Strikes Again... and again...

More Morrissey More Morrissey

Never one to shy away from an unpopular opinion, Morrissey has provided German news outlet, Der Spiegal, with an extremely hot take on the recent Hollywood sexual harassment whirlwind.

Around halfway through an interview with journalist Juliane Liebert, Morrissey articulated his own views on the sexual assault allegations that have surfaced about Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein.

“You have to wonder where the boy’s parents were” said Morrissey in relation to Spacey’s alleged harassment of a 14 year old when he was 26.

“I do not know about you, but I've never been in situations like this in my youth. Never. I always knew what could happen. When you are in somebody's bedroom, you have to be aware of where that can lead to. That's why it does not sound very credible to me. It seems to me Spacey has been unnecessarily attacked.”

Not content with defending one alleged abuser, he then moved on to the growing group of women that have come out with allegations surrounding Weinstein and hotel rooms.

“People know exactly what happens. And they play along. Afterward, they feel embarrassed, or they do not like it. And then they turn it around and say: I was attacked, I was surprised, I was dragged into the room.”

Morrissey then clarified his position by confirming that he hates rape before expressing that in many cases “…one looks at the circumstances and thinks that the person referred to as a victim is merely disappointed.”

In the same interview, the 58-year-old musician also touched on why he thinks Brexit is a success for British democracy and espoused the theory that in the history of rock'n'roll "almost everyone is guilty of sleeping with minors".
