Songwriters, start your engines because entries are now open for the 2017 Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition!

This year’s judging panel is full to bursting with Australian talent including Daniel Johns, KLP, Montaigne and The Bamboos’ Lance Ferguson.

The competition holds the title of world’s biggest first place cash prize for a songwriting competition with the talented winner nabbing themselves $50,000 cold, hard cash. Second and third place don’t pull up too shabby either, netting $10,000 and $5000, respectively.

“The Vanda & Young prize made a huge impact on what I have achieved in the last year… [It] provided me with the time to wholly focus on my music. That in itself is a gift,” said the 2016 award winner Gretta Ray.
