It'll be the first visit to Australia for the acclaimed Austin four-piece.
Texas synth four-piece S U R V I V E have been announced as the latest addition to next year's Laneway Festival line-up.
The news was fittingly revealed at today's Stranger Things season two premiere event at the Sydney Opera House; the Austin outfit's Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein are the brains behind the series' acclaimed original soundtrack, which earned them a Grammy nomination and Emmy win for their work on the hit Netflix series.
The band will hit Australian shores for Laneway's events in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Fremantle on the heels of their new remix EP RR7387, which reworks four tracks from their well-received sophomore album RR7349 (2016), as well as a successful burst of live outings that have taken them to stages such as Primavera Sound Festival and Coachella.
S U R V I V E got their start in 2009, and have released three albums — their first two being 2012's dual releases Mnq026 and HD009 — as well as six EPs, in addition to also contributing to the soundtrack for 2014 indie horror The Guest.
