The local band will appear at Australian Music Week next month.
Sydney indie four-piece Tenderfoot have had a meteoric run since releasing their 2016 EP, Beginnings, having racked up local and international airplay for their tracks The Balcony and Chasing The Rain as well as recording the bulk of their impending debut album, To Be Young, at none other than the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London.
Now, with an appearance at next month's Australian Music Week event just around the corner, the band have unveiled a new single and taste from the forthcoming full-length, the groovy, atmospheric The Balance.
As with the rest of the album, the track was created in collaboration with UK producer/songwriter Julian Emery (Nothing But Thieves), with frontman John Vella sitting down with the Brit over Skype to pen the bulk of the record. The sessions in London also included added touches from the English Session Orchestra, and featured original upright pianos used by The Beatles; no big deal.
The band have just returned from a trip to the US, where they played a string of acoustic shows, and have already lined up a show in early 2018 — on Saturday 17 February, at Bella Vista's Get Your Groove On — with Birds Of Tokyo.
