There’s been another exciting swell of emerging talent in WA over the past 12 months, something the 2017 WAMAwards will celebrate this November, already shining a light on the likes of Methyl Ethel, Stella Donnelly, San Cisco and more with this year’s nominees announcement.

With the awards party returning to Claremont Showgrounds on November 2 and public voting open now via theMusic.com.au, a star-studded list of local artists have been shortlisted for the accolades, Methyl Ethel scoring a total of seven nominations following the release of Everything Is Forgotten.

BIGSOUND buzz act and rising star Stella Donnelly isn’t far behind with six nominations, while Tired Lion’s relentless touring and recent album release score them five, alongside local legends San Cisco.

Politically charged wordsmith Ziggy Ramo and hip-hop/jazz outfit POWNegro have also scored multiple nominations.
