St Jimmy is coming your way in 2018

Following a successful run in Brisbane earlier this year, the Australian production of Green Day's American Idiot musical is to tour nationally.

Grinspoon's Phil Jamieson is also set to reprise his role as St Jimmy (he rotated with The Living End's Chris Cheney in the Queensland run), with a press release hinting "keep your eyes peeled for more exciting cast announcements".

The musical will play strictly limited seasons in Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne. It will also return to Brisbane for an encore season.

The tour kicks off at the Sydney Opera House in January next year, with tickets going on sale October 9 in all states except WA (where tickets are available from October 6).
