From a selection of nearly 700 shows.
After tearing through Australia with her award-winning show, Nanette, Hannah Gadsby has made her mark in Europe by picking up a prestigious comedy award in Europe.
The Tasmanian-born comic's show is one of nine selected from nearly 700 for Edinburgh Festival Fringe's Best Comedy Show award.
The nomination for the award, known as 'the Oscars of live comedy', comes after Gadsby took out the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's top award this past April, as well as Best Comedy Performer at last month's Helpmann Awards and Best Comedy at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Also nominated for the Edinburgh comedy award includes Ahir Shah, Elf Lyons, John Robins, Jordan Brookes, Mae Martin, Mat Ewins, Sophie Wilan and Spencer Jones.
