Placebo Slam Kings Of Leon: 'You Might As Well Be Watching Cardboard Cut-outs'

As they prepare to head to Australia next month for a headline tour, UK heavyweights Placebo have slammed Kings Of Leon and accused the band of phoning in their performances.

Speaking to The Music this month, singer Brian Molko promised Placebo will put on a show for their Aussie fans, something that apparently not all bands do. 

"Some bands walk on and they phone it in and just get it done - have you ever seen the fucking Kings Of Leon?" Molko says.

"Jesus, you might as well be watching cardboard cut-outs on a stage and play the record.

"But we're up there and we give a shit, and this connection with the audience feeds our soul, so we're always putting everything we have into the live show.

"No complacency - complacency is forbidden in Placebo world."

While Placebo have been touring the world in celebration of their 20th anniversary, Kings Of Leon are currently touring throughout the US on the back of their 2016-released album, WALLS
