C'mon, PK!

More Paul Kelly More Paul Kelly

Ed Sheeran's reign at the top of the ARIA Albums chart has been hugely dominant since the release of ÷ (Divide) back in March, but we reckon even he will be rooting for Paul Kelly this week.

The Aussie legend's 23rd studio album, Life Is Fine, is the favourite to run down Sheeran on the chart and is primed for a top three debut, according to midweek figures.

What would make the feat even sweeter is that, despite his status as one of Australia's best ever musicians, Kelly is yet to score a #1 solo record in the country.

But there will be no better chance than now.

US pop artist Kesha's comeback LP, Rainbow, is also predicted to land in the top three, while Melbourne favourite Jen Cloher's new self-titled offering is gunning for a top five finish.

Others debuting on the Albums chart this week includes Dodie's You EP and The PreaturesGirlhood (both top ten), Kate Miller-Heidke and The Sydney Symphony Orchestra's live recording (top 15), Avicii's Avici (top 20) and two records from the late Glenn Campbell who sadly passed last week, Glen Campbell's 20 Golden Greats and Adios (both top 50).

Over on the Singles chart, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee's hit track, Despacito, featuring Justin Bieber, will be aiming for an incredible 14 weeks straight atop the chart.

However, the Puerto Rican artists will have to fend off Pink, whose new cut, What About Us, is storming into the top three and could finally end the streak.
