That's the way, uh-huh uh-huh, we like it.

A string of disco icons are set to hit Australia this year for a very special edition of A Day On The Green.

This year's bill is to be led by 15-piece outfit KC & The Sunshine Band, as well as the Village People, who will be joined by original lead singer and 'cop', Victor Willis; his first performance with the group in over 25 years.

"The biggest initial break in my career was in Australia in 1976 when I starred as the Tin Man in the Australian version of The Wiz," Willis said.

"So really, it all started for me there. Therefore, it's fitting that I kick off my return as the lead singer in Australia because the people there loved me first."

Also confirmed on the line-up is Australia's own disco royalty Marcia Hines and legendary US group, Sister Sledge.

The tour kicks off in December, with shows confirmed in Perth, McLaren Vale, Yarra Valley, Hunter Valley and Mt Cotton.

Meanwhile, KC & The Sunshine Band, Village People and Sister Sledge will perform two massive shows in Melbourne and Sydney between the A Day On The Green dates.

Tickets for A Day On The Green go on sale from 10am on Monday, 7 August, while the exclusive headline gigs will be available from 2pm the same day.
